Service & Repair
Solar service and repair.
When a solar system underperforms or stops producing, you need someone who will actually diagnose and fix it. ETW Energy provides solar service and repair across Texas, Illinois, Utah, and California — including systems other companies installed and then disappeared on.
Our controls do not end when a system goes live. The same accountability that goes into our installs is what we bring to keeping systems running.
What we service
Solar is durable, but it is still a working electrical system with components that occasionally need attention. We service the things that actually go wrong:
- Production problems — a system making less than it should, or nothing at all
- Inverter faults, failures, and replacements
- Monitoring that has gone dark, so you can see your production again
- Issues that appear after a roof repair, electrical work, or a storm
- System checks when you buy a home with existing solar
Inherited a system you didn’t install?
A lot of solar was sold by companies that are no longer around or no longer answer the phone. If you bought a home with panels already on it, or your original installer has vanished, you are not stuck.
We service systems we did not install. We will assess what you have, explain it in plain terms, and tell you honestly what it needs — even if the answer is that it is working fine.
Why production drops — and how we find it
When a system makes less than it used to, the cause is usually identifiable: an inverter fault, a tripped breaker, a communication failure, shading that has grown in, or a string that has gone offline. We diagnose the actual problem instead of guessing, and we are clear about what a repair involves before we do it.
Frequently asked questions
Do you service systems you didn’t install?
Yes. We regularly service and repair systems installed by other companies, including ones whose original installer is no longer in business.
My solar installer went out of business — can you help?
Yes. If the company that installed your system has closed or stopped responding, you are not stuck. We take over service and repair for orphaned systems — assess what you have, explain it plainly, and fix what needs fixing.
My solar production dropped — what should I do?
Start by contacting us with what your monitoring shows, if anything. A production drop usually points to an inverter fault, a tripped breaker, a communication issue, or shading. We will diagnose the real cause rather than guess.
Can you replace a failed inverter?
Yes. Inverters are one of the most common components to fail over a system’s life. We diagnose the fault, confirm it is the inverter, and handle the replacement.
My monitoring stopped working — can you fix it?
Usually, yes. Monitoring often drops offline after a network change or equipment issue. We can get your visibility back so you can confirm the system is producing as it should.
